The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps was designed to develop an interest among American youth in the Navy, the Marine
Corps, the Merchant Marines and Cost Guard, The Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a youth program sponsored by the Navy
League of the United States and supported by the U. S. Navy, with the full cooperation of active duty and reserve Navy and
Marine Corps personnel, commands, and facilities across the nation.
The Sea Cadet Corps is designed for youth ages 13-18, while the Navy League Cadet Corps is for ages 11-13.
The program also fosters a greater sense of reliability and an ability to work well with others. Cadets learn how
to accept greater responsibility and accountability.

What We Do
Trainings include weekend meetings once a month and two week trainings, usually in the summer. Cadets begin with
Recruit Training and later have opportunities to work at Navy or Marine Corps bases and even with the Navy Seals, Hospital
Corpsman, Navy Seabees,Coast Guard Search and Rescue,Navy Divers,Jag, Special Warfare, Naval Intelligence units, aircraft
or equipment mechanics, or any of many other exciting opportunities. Select cadets can attend special training at the
Naval Academy and others can go overseas as part of the International Exchange Program.
